This article guides workspace admins on how to move an existing deal through the due diligence workflow from initial review to investment using DiligenceGPT’s statuses, reports, and collaboration tools.
Once a deal has been added to the workspace, it progresses through a structured workflow. Admins manage this process by updating deal statuses, reviewing generated reports, coordinating team input, and transitioning approved deals into portfolio companies.

Deal statuses can be updated from the Deals page using either view.
Open the Deals page.
Switch to Table View.
Click the deal’s Status field.
Select the appropriate next stage from the dropdown.
Use this view to update multiple deals quickly and efficiently.
Open the Deals page.
Switch to Kanban View.
Drag the deal card into the desired status column.
Use this view to visually track pipeline flow and workload distribution.
All changes are reflected in real time across the workspace.
As a deal progresses, teams deepen their analysis while continuing to use the same reports, notes, and collaboration tools.
Review Deal Fit to confirm thesis alignment
Check Data Sufficiency and add missing information
Decide whether to advance or archive the deal
Review the Deal Brief for a structured company overview
Use Market Intelligence reports to assess market dynamics
Add analyst notes and collaborate with teammates
Analyze Metrics and financial performance
Review Valuation reports to analyze deal economics
Submit structured feedback via the Reviews page
Once diligence is complete and terms are agreed upon, update the deal status to Offer Signed.
Once an investment is completed:
Update the deal’s status to Portfolio Company.
The deal automatically appears in the Portfolio view.
All historical diligence data is preserved for ongoing monitoring and reporting.
This step enables accurate portfolio dashboards and post-investment tracking.
Customize Workflow Statuses (Admins Only)
Admins can tailor the workflow to match internal processes:
Navigate to Workspace Settings → Workflow.
Add, remove, or rename statuses as needed.
Ensure the Portfolio Company status remains unchanged to preserve Portfolio page mapping.
